Sonia Dulá, GCIB
Vice Chairman for Latin America GCIB
Sonia Dulá was recently named Vice Chairman for Latin America at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Global Corporate and Investment Banking Division. Before this role, she was Head of Latin America Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch, a division with more than 900 employees, including 400 financial advisors, based in 13 offices in South America, Switzerland and the United States.
Prior to this position, Ms Dulá was Head of Corporate and Investment Banking for Latin America. In this role, she had oversight responsibility for all of the firm's corporate and investment banking businesses in the region, including corporate Finance, M&A, equity and debt capital markets and corporate lending. She led several high profile transactions, including the $1.4B IPO and $1.0B follow-on equity offering of Arcos Dorados, owner of the McDonald’s Master Franchise for Latin America.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Dulá spent nine years at Goldman Sachs. Based in London, she covered Southern European corporate and government clients. She moved to New York to run Latin America Equity Capital Markets and, finally, Private Equity Investments in the region. She led several large-scale privatizations and IPOs such as Endesa and Repsol of Spain, and Telmex and Televisa of Mexico.
Before joining Merrill Lynch, Ms. Dulá was the CEO of Grupo Latino de Radio, a group of more than 500 owned and operated radio stations in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. Prior to that, she was CEO of Telemundo Studios Mexico and co-founder of Internet Group of Brazil (ig.com.br).
Ms. Dulá has been a member of Young Presidents Organization and served on the Board of Women's World Banking, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts (Miami), and the Stanford Graduate School of Business Management Board. She is currently a member of the Board of the Council of the Americas and of ECLA (Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness in Latin America, of Columbia Business School). She is a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Council of Bank of America.
Ms. Dulá graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude, in Economics from Harvard University and received an MBA degree from Stanford University. She was born in Mexico and raised in Brazil. She has also lived in Italy, England, Spain, Peru and Bolivia.
Candace Browning
Head of Global Research, Bank of America Merrill Lynch
Candace Browning is head of BofA Merrill Lynch Global Research, which has over 950 employees located across 20 countries. Her team provides economic forecasts for nearly 60 countries as well as investment recommendations and analyses on approximately 40 currencies, 20 commodities, nearly 3,500 stocks and 1,100 credits. For the second straight year, the group was named Top Global Research firm by Institutional Investor. Ms. Browning joined Merrill Lynch in 1990 as a US airline analyst, ranking in Institutional Investor's all-star analyst survey 17 consecutive years. She serves on the Board of Vital Voices and is a member of the St. Paul's School Board of Trustees. She has been named for the last four years by American Banker as one of the Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance.
Kathryn A. Byrne

Kathryn Byrne has more than 25 years of experience in providing accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services to domestic and foreign corporations. Her expertise includes specializing in the audit of public companies and owner-managed businesses. Kathryn is Co-Partner-in-Charge of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) desk. She has been the engagement partner on financial statements reporting under IFRS and has consulted with companies on the IFRS conversion process. She has extensive industry-specific experience providing accounting services to companies in the software/technology, distribution, manufacturing and telecommunication industries, as well as service companies.
Kathryn completed her undergraduate studies at James Madison University, earning a BBA in Accounting and Finance. Kathryn is the North American Chair of Praxity, a unique global alliance of independent accounting firms with offices in 65 countries, and is a member of its Membership Committee.
Kathryn is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Signature Bank and Chair of the Examination Committee. Kathryn is the Chairperson of the 2011 AICPA International Business Conference. She is also a member of the Women’s Corporate Directors group and the James Madison University College of Business Executive Advisory Council. In addition, Kathryn is a board member of IFAC Compliance Advisory Panel and the Irish American Business Chamber and Network (IABCN). She is a former member of the Quality Peer Review Subcommittee of the IFAC Forum of Firms.
